Chapter 11: Rules and Regulations #

Earning Amateur Extra opens the Extra-only segments of 80, 40, 20, and 15 meters and makes you eligible to give exams for every license class. Each new privilege comes with conditions, and so do the activities in the previous chapter.

Knowing those conditions well lets you use every privilege confidently. That means keeping a whole signal inside the band, sharing spectrum without causing harm, and controlling a station from a distance. It also means sending only what the rules allow, operating abroad, and running an exam session. Just as important is recognizing when an activity needs a different permission, or a check, before you transmit.
